Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Procurement Officer to join a dynamic shipyard operation in Abu Dhabi. This role is fundamental to the organizational framework, requiring a professional who can manage critical sourcing activities for management and engineering review. You will be responsible for purchasing marine-related materials, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring timely delivery to support project schedules. We are looking for an individual with a strong foundation in Shipyard Procurement Workflows and Marine Equipment Sourcing and a proactive approach to cost evaluation and import/export documentation management. 🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase marine materials and equipment to meet management and shipbuilding project schedules.
• Support supply integrity in Abu Dhabi, ensuring 100% data integrity in purchase orders, quotation logs, and vendor performance assessments.
• Liaise with the Human Resources department and engineering teams to align procurement with project requirements and warehouse inventory levels.
• Negotiate competitive pricing and manage supplier relationships while ensuring all procurement activities comply with internal policies.
• Utilize digital Information Technology tools and procurement systems to optimize stock monitoring and professional cost reporting.

🔹 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration plus a relevant professional Procurement or Supply Chain Certificate.
• Proven professional experience specifically working as a Procurement Officer within the marine or shipyard industry.
• Strong background in management of marine spare parts, supplier negotiations, and procurement compliance standards.
• Professional background in education or training regarding import/export documentation, cost evaluations, and maritime logistics.
• Ability to demonstrate operational excellence, work effectively under tight deadlines, and maintain high-quality sourcing standards.
• Excellent organizational skills with the capability to support a high-growth shipyard in Abu Dhabi.
