Job Description:
We are executing a strategic professional appointment within our central accounting and treasury division and are seeking a meticulous, process-driven Accountant – Construction Sector to govern project fiscal pipelines and direct commercial ledger pathways in Dubai. Configured for systematic finance professionals who possess strong operational command of contractor job-cost accounting and excel at navigating local tax systems, this full-time track focuses on accelerating month-end close timelines, auditing subcontractor transaction streams, and maximizing balance sheet accuracy under our integrated corporate management framework.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
- Record accurate journal entries, govern the general ledger, and monitor project-specific cost allocation accounts.
- Prepare and issue technical client progress invoices, and systematically verify supplier and subcontractor payment applications.
- Manage comprehensive accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows to preserve corporate working capital.
- Monitor collection milestones closely and oversee structured supplier and vendor payment schedules.
- Govern operational petty cash funds, verify commercial cheques, and process employee business advances.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including project-wise profit & loss summaries, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct regular project budget vs. actual cost analyses to identify potential structural financial risks or cost-saving options.
- Ensure accurate VAT return filing, coordinate Corporate Tax reporting workflows, and guarantee absolute FTA compliance.
- Process monthly corporate payroll and calculate precise employee end-of-service benefits (EOSB) allocations.
- Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations and coordinate with financial institutions regarding corporate transactions.
🔹 Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution is required; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent financial designation are highly preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of verified, high-performance professional experience operating an accounting desk or cost portfolio specifically inside the UAE construction or contracting marketplace.
- Advanced technical data literacy with extensive practical proficiency deploying QuickBooks, Zoho, Tally, or similar specialized ERP systems, along with advanced financial model building in MS Excel.
- Deep, comprehensive operational knowledge across the following primary functional dimensions:
- Financial reporting models, corporate ledger auditing, and complex multi-account bank reconciliations.
- Project cost accounting, budget variance tracking, contractor billing flows, and retention payment tracking.
- UAE VAT regulations, Corporate Tax reporting parameters, and standard FTA compliance pathways.
- WPS-compliant corporate payroll setups, labor law parameters, and end-of-service calculation metrics.
- Outstanding analytical capabilities, strict attention to commercial contract detail, sharp problem-solving traits, and the capacity to coordinate with cross-functional project managers seamlessly.
