Junior Accountant – Dubai, UAE | Fit-Out Contracting & Financial Operations

Company Overview:

A leading contracting and interior fit-out business based in Dubai, delivering bespoke commercial, residential, and industrial construction projects across the United Arab Emirates.

Job Description:

The Junior Accountant will record daily financial transactions, perform project cost checks, execute bank reconciliations, process WPS payroll, support EmaraTax VAT returns, and partner with financial management teams to maintain accurate bookkeeping records.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Record sales invoices, vendor bills, customer receipts, and payment transactions with complete accuracy.
• Maintain organized digital and paper documentation according to specific fit-out project files.
• Prepare weekly aged accounts receivable reports, supplier payment schedules, and physical petty cash reconciliations.
• Execute monthly bank reconciliations and analyze cost-to-profit allocations for ongoing construction jobs.
• Prepare payroll processing sheets in compliance with Wages Protection System (WPS) guidelines.
• Support the preparation and quarterly filing of UAE VAT returns on the EmaraTax portal.
• Assist senior finance staff with year-end audit schedules, financial reports, and record archiving.

🔹 Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 1 to 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience within the UAE.
• Practical knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and return submission via EmaraTax.
• Hands-on experience with accounting ERP software including Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis) and numerical accuracy.
• Prior accounting exposure in the construction or interior fit-out industry is an advantage.
• Immediate joiners located in the UAE are preferred.
